Digital Communication Weeks 15 & 16

Last week we worked on our Multimedia Presentations. Our team is using Google Drive to share our files with each other. We used Google sheets to make some of the presentation, but then at the end we each downloaded the file as a PowerPoint presentation to format and save for submission.

Today is the last class. We're watching the Safety Videos and the Multimedia presentations. I can't believe I'm actually done with the Administrative Professional Program...it seemed to take forever! Thank you to Sharon for all her help through the years!

Digital Communication Week 14

Today we learned more about the Multimedia Project we'll be doing. I don't think I'm very proficient at putting together presentations, but I'll definitely work hard at it! The presentation Sharon showed during class was done very well, maybe with the help of my classmates we'll be able to put together something equally as amazing.

Digital Communication Weeks 12 & 13

I missed two weeks of class. The first week my dad was ill and I had to help his guardian figure out the next steps for his care. Then my dad passed away and I missed school to plan his funeral and get his affairs in order. Just a heads up to any who may have a parent with a court appointed guardian...guardianship ends at death so you'll be handed a mess to figure out all by yourself! It's even more messy when there's a surviving spouse. It's been a learning experience for sure!

Digital Communication Week 11

Today in class we listened to our classmates' podcasts. Some of them sounded so professional! I sound monotone...I need to figure out how to put more passion in my speeches!

We also talked about the last two group projects we'll be doing. Working with a group is hard because I have very little free time, but hopefully we'll figure it out.

Digital Communication Week 10

In class today we downloaded Spreaker to do our podcast and received the grading rubic. I finally figured out what to do my podcast on. I hope everyone finds it interesting and helpful!

Digital Communication Week 9

I was at a conference for licensed ministers of the Wisconsin United Pentecostal Church this week. We met at The Osthoff in Elkhart Lake, it's such a beautiful place!

Though I wasn't in class physically, I listened to the class recording and learned that we will be producing our own podcast within the next few weeks. Speaking makes me nervous!

Also, watching everyone's Futuremaker video was pretty cool!

Digital Communication Week 8

This week we learned about creating blogs and following other bloggers. I previously created a blog "The Musings of a Pastor's Wife," but haven't updated it in a very long time. I should take the time to get back to it.

We also learned about the Future Maker video project we'll be doing. It sounds like fun, but I'm not that creative! Hopefully I'll do okay. I already have an idea of what I want to do, but I may have to ask my tech savvy kids to help me!
